You have the right to know what your care will cost ahead of time. Starting January 1, 2022, healthcare providers are required by law to give a Good Faith Estimate to clients who don’t have insurance or who choose not to use it.
This estimate outlines the expected total cost of any non-emergency services. If your final bill is $400 or more higher than your estimate, you have the right to dispute the charge.
Be sure to keep a copy or photo of your Good Faith Estimate for your records.
